"Here's how to size the new 3.0 cooling vest from ThermApparel. It's very easy, all you need is a cloth measuring tape. If you don't have one of those, not a problem, you can use a phone cord. You can even use a shoelace. Or, you can call us or go online to our sizing page and we will send you the ThermApparel measuring tape. Now, the main thing to remember about sizing yourself is don't use anything that has stretch to it. So like a piece of elastic or your bathrobe tie, anything that stretchy, you don't want to use, you want to use something that has no stretch to it. Okay? so I'm going to show you how to do this. First thing is you want to measure your natural waist and you want to measure on your skin because the ThermApparel cooling vest is meant to be on your skin. So find a mirror in your bathroom or in your bedroom where you can see yourself, which is not always the greatest experience but it's only for a little bit. Your natural waist if you don't know where it is -- if you bend to the side where you naturally crease is your natural waist. And this area is right below your ribcage, but it's above your belly button, so right about there. So first thing is I'm going to measure it with the measuring tape. So where I bend, actually I should do it this way, put it around, figure out kind of where you bend, get it in there. Make sure -- I'm looking at myself in the video -- make sure you get it level, you know you don't want it like down or up one side up one side down, make sure it's level in the mirror looking at yourself. Okay, so I am a 36. Now I am five foot six on a good day away right now I weigh about 175 pounds and that is going to put me right into the middle of a medium. Now you say "I don't have a fabric measuring tape". Okay, so get your phone cord, same procedure, same process, find where you bend, measure yourself. Now with this since it doesn't have numbers on it, make sure you hold on to that. Okay, take a straight ruler and then measure. Oh see, same measurement. You don't have a phone cord? You just use a shoe string. Same thing, find where you bend, measure it. If you don't have anything you can email us, call us. Same thing, know where you bend, know where your natural waist is. Make sure it's level all the way around. And look, I fall right into the medium. Okay, now between the 2.0 and the 3.0. With the 2.0. We always told you if you're in between two sizes, go with the smaller size with the 3.0. It's changed. If you're in between two sizes go with the larger size. So if I was in between the medium and the large on the 3.0 I would go with the large. If I was in between the medium and the large with the 2.0 I would go with the medium, but I fall square into the medium. So I'm going to order the medium."

Sizing Tips:

Sizing for your ThermApparel UnderCool Cooling Vest is really important because it's based on your natural waist. It’s very simple to find your natural waist and you can do it one of two ways.

1. Stand or sit up nice and tall and bend to the side, where your body naturally creases is your natural waist. Think of the “I'm a Little Teapot” song …” tip me over and pour me out”…right, where you crease, is where you want to measure.
2. You can find your natural waist in the area below your rib cage but above your belly button. Right in the center part of your abdomen, in the narrower part where your body naturally narrows

• Sizing is based on your natural waist, not your hips or pant size. 
• Measure against your skin.
• Avoid using anything that has stretch to measure with.
• Take your measurements in front of a mirror.
• Make sure your tape measure is level on both sides. 
• UnderCool needs to fit your body like a glove to give you the best cooling support.
• You will wear a size smaller than you think. 
   

Womens Sizing Guide:

• Sizing is dependent on natural waist size not bust size.
• You will wear a smaller size than you think.

• We recommend ordering a size smaller than your usual T-shirt size.
• (If you wear a large T-shirt, a medium UnderCool will fit best.)

• You will wear a smaller size than you think.

Q: I Don’t Have a Fabric Measuring Tape.

Q: You can measure your waist the same way with a straight ruler and:

Dental Floss
Shoelace
Charging cord from your phone

Q: I got my vest but it doesn't seem to be working, do I have the wrong size?

A: When you get your vest try it on with the packs frozen. Ask yourself these questions.

• Can I feel all 4 cooling packs on my back?

• If I had one more row of velcro would it fit better?

• Is there any space between my back and the cooling packs?

• Are the cooling packs too low?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then yes you most likely have the wrong size.
