LupusChick visited us!
We had the pleasure of meeting Marisa Zeppieri, Founder/Editor in Chief of LupusChick and little did we know that we are right in each others backyards. She came to the office and we got to meet her and her wonderful husband. We outfitted her with a UnderCool Cooling Vest and she is putting it to the test for us as she travels down south for the next few weeks.
Watch the video of her at the office… and you get to see Julia also. woot woot!
Hey gang! So this is part 1 of a product review I will be doing on a cooling vest from Thermapparel.net The team is part of the RIT incubator here in NY and originally created this product to prevent overheating in people with Multiple Sclerosis.
Hey, LupusChicks! SO...Who here legit almost dies when out in the heat or sun? So this has been - for 17 years now - thee thorn in my side when it comes to Lupus. I get overheated and exhausted! Little did I know it is also very common with people who have multiple sclerosis...
So I found out there is a startup medical tech company called ThermApparel in my town in NY that designed a lightweight 2 lb. Cooling vest, and it was originally created with MS in mind but they have also tested it with people who have lupus.
Well...I wanted to try it!
Anywho, I was privileged to meet them today and they are letting me take a vest to Texas with me next week to test out...cause it will hotter than hell there I'm guessing lol.
In this collection of videos, you'll see me actually try a vest on and Julia will walk us through everything you need to know.
Give me a few weeks and I will also be posting my review about how it worked.
Many of you know I had to leave Florida and move back to NY because the heat almost killed me so I am praying this product works amazingly!! I am sharing today's trip with you because I am praying this will be helpful for those of us with illness.
This is NOT an ad. And I do NOT make a penny if you decide you want to try one. Though I am going to say the startup founders were kind enough to offer a 10% discount in honor of Lupus awareness month coming up. The code is lupuschick
Their website is www.thermapparel.net and they come in black or white. They are very light and it gives a refreshing cool sensation...not an ice cold feeling like when you have I've against your skin.
Stay tuned in a few weeks for my full review!
